My name is Pavan

I founded The Connected Self Therapy, because we all need a place where we feel safe, heard and empowered to talk about the things that matter to us. Somewhere, that you can talk about everything from unhelpful patterns of behaviour, anxiety, trauma to feeling stuck. As a Counsellor, NLP and Hypnotherapy practitioner, I’m here to provide a space just for you, where you can be vulnerable and explore what is happening in your life to enable you to build a secure sense of self that supports you through any life transitions. Working within both the counselling and coaching sector provides me with the skills to tailor sessions to your needs. As counselling can focus on working through your past and building your emotional and mental resilience whilst coaching can help you build the future you have always wanted, through identifying and achieving your goals.
Prior to working as a Therapist, I managed an Advice team within a Domestic Abuse project where I supported women and girls through trauma, life transitions and deprogramming previous patterns. I also managed a Mental Health charity and have a deep understanding of the struggles that someone can face when dealing with anxiety and depression. My intention as a therapist is for you to truly be yourself and thrive.

My philosophy is not a one method for all, we are all unique and multidimensional, and therefore deserve a one to one that is based on your needs. I understand that your present is shaped by your history, values, beliefs and so much more. With a diverse background in mental health, management, counselling, hypnotherapy, NLP and wellness, I am flexible and adaptable. My tool kit of therapeutic techniques is designed to provide you with a unique experience, where you can be your most vulnerable, reflect on your life and challenge old ways of thinking that are not working. As a therapist I provide space for you to take timeout and find clarity, be heard, step into your confidence and grow in many areas of your life.

During our one to one sessions, we can explore any concerns you may have, whether that is personal or related to another area of your life, as your therapist my role is to support you and provide the tools that will enable you to work on the issues that bring you to therapy.

An Intensive may be a good fit if you’re seeking focused, in-depth work or feel that weekly therapy hasn’t quite allowed enough time to reach the heart of what you’re exploring. It’s ideal for those wanting to move through a specific issue, life transition, or long-held pattern with space to stay present, process, and integrate.

Before your session, you’ll receive a short pre-session booklet to help you reflect on your intentions and what feels most alive for you to explore. You don’t need to come with everything figured out — simply with openness and curiosity about what might unfold.

Each Intensive is 2.5 hours and unfolds at your pace. We may work with your mind, emotions, and body through a blend of modalities such as Compassionate Inquiry, EMDR, Polyvagal integration, and somatic practices. The process is collaborative and responsive to you in the moment.

About one to two weeks later, we’ll meet for a follow-up session to reflect on what has shifted and explore how to continue integrating your insights into daily life. Many people also notice ongoing integration in the days and weeks following their session.

Yes. Some people choose to return to their ongoing therapy with renewed insight and direction; others schedule additional intensives when they feel ready to go deeper. We can discuss what kind of support feels right for you after your initial experience.
